Say Ringwood North when it is Ringwood North

Because the postcode is shared, it will not help us tell the two apart. The suburb label on your map and the street sign will. If your own address says Ringwood but the map says Ringwood North, give us both and we will treat the street as the working pin.

Quiet streets and driveways

If your car is on a residential street or your own driveway, say which. Give the number of the nearest house, and whether there is a gate, a locked garage or a steep driveway. Keep the keys out of the ignition and do not roll the car on a slope.

A vehicle that has stayed where it stopped is far easier to find and assess than one moved around.

If someone else filled the car

Sometimes a family member or a friend put fuel in and handed back the keys. Ask them exactly what went in and roughly how much, and keep the receipt. If you have not started the car, do not. If you have, say for how long.

Wrong fuel is a removal job: $449 standard, or $399 total with the $50 instant removal offer where eligible. If the car has run dry, delivery is $99 total including up to 5L of the correct fuel, and anything beyond 5L is priced separately and approved by you. Never put the other fuel in to dilute a mistake.

Give the make, colour and registration of the car so it can be identified when someone arrives at the street. Say whether a footpath or nature strip runs beside it, and whether trees or parked cars narrow the road. These details help judge whether the work can be done safely where the car stopped.
